Women of Evangelical Lutheran Church of America

All women members of the church are members of  the Babbitt Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America whether they are members of a circle or not.

Mission Statement:  To mobilize women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ.

 Purpose Statement:  As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church , society and in the world.

Meetings are held the first Wednesday evening of the months of October, December, February, April and May. Devotions are followed by the speaker of the evening and then a business meeting.

The circles take turns doing the monthly service duties, such as serve funerals, etc.

Esther Circle

Leader: Carol Prigge  (218-827-2794)

Esther Circle meets on the third Wednesday September through May in the afternoon.  A short business meeeting is held followed by Bible Study from the Gather Magazine. Members take turns leading the Study.  A special offering is taken for the chosen mission project. Esther Circle has given to Global Missions Animals for several years.

Dorcas Circle

Leader:  Barb Richtsmeier (218-827-3426)

Dorcas Circle is the evening circle which meets September through May.  After the business meeting is a Bible Study with all members participating in the study. For the last several years their mission project has been the Malaria Campaign. Offerings are sent to Global Missions to purchase mosquito netting.
